A Day at Las Vegas Strip, Nevada

The Las Vegas Strip is located in the south of the Las Vegas city limits. Many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located on The Strip. One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas' cityscape is its use of dramatic themes. The theming of hotels, casinos, and restaurants on the Strip has established the city as one of the most popular destinations for tourists. Hotels such as New York New York, MGM Grand, Mirage, Flamingo, Bellagio, Paris, Ceasar Palace, Wyn are one of the most popular and beautiful hotels and casinos you can hang around there.

The transportation on the Strip is very accessible. While not on The Strip itself, the Las Vegas Monorail runs on the east side of The Strip from Tropicana Avenue to Sahara Road. CAT Bus provides service on the strip with double decker buses known as The Deuce. The Deuce stops at most major resorts and continues north to downtown and the Fremont Street Experience. A tourist trolley service travels up and down The Strip and stops at various, but not all, Strip hotels, along with a stop at the Fashion Show Mall. The fare is $2.00 for a one way ride, regardless how far you travel down the strip. Alternatively, a 24-hour pass is $5 only. Trolleys are scheduled to arrive every 15 minutes. You can also walk if you want, but not during the day time I don't think it is good especially in summer because its so hot-dry there. Since I'm not a party goer I stroll around the Strip during the day. I enjoyed hopping around on every hotels, checking out what's cool stuff await on me, plenty of stores and restaurant in the hotels are cool to stop by. Taking pictures is one of my hobbies, I absolutely had fun seeing great buildings design for my photo collection! click here for more photos: Las Vegas Strip, Nevada enjoy!

Alzheimer's Memory Walk

Alzheimer's is a fatal brain disease. Destroys brain cells, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior severe enough to affect work, lifelong hobbies or social life. Today it is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. Some change in memory is normal as we grow older, but the warning signs of Alzheimer's disease are more than simple lapses in memory. People with Alzheimer's experience difficulties communicating, learning, thinking and reasoning problems severe enough to have an impact on an individuals work, social activities and family life. Alzheimer's disease has no current cure, but treatments for symptoms combined with the right services and support, can make life better for the person who has Alzheimer's. I have a terrible experience of my grandmother who has Alzheimer disease, I remember one day when I visit her, I said, "Hi Grandma" she looked at me, and she didn't know who I was. She didn't know me." It's sad but the most important thing is we support and understand her. Getting involve with Alzheimer's Association or Charity helps to fight against Alzheimer's disease and their programs. Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the USA largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. There are walks in more than 600 communities nationwide. They held a typical Memory Walk of about 2 to 3 mile walk every morning of the weekend in the fall. By teaming up with the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, you can walk with a purpose, and move us closer to world without that disease.

Meeting with Irel's Family

I met Irel through online site a couple of years ago. Since then we never stop communicating to each other at least once in awhile. She seems friendly and funny to me, that's what I like her. Recently her family traveled here in Florida for vacation, she calls me if I can meet her, no doubt I said "Yes!". I invited her and her family to see me in our house since they stay 5 miles away from where I live. I was excited when finally they arrive safe in my house, and I'm happy to see her and her family in person. Oh my goodness, Irel's children are so adorable like their mom and dad. Irel is so freaking funny! hehehe Its like we've known for each other for so long.. too bad they can't stay long cause the time is almost late. I wish they live near here so we can chikka a lot. Well, next time again Irel come visit to us or I likewise.

Travel Protection

I guess it is important to have travel insurance if you are a frequent travelers. Even the best planned vacations can be interrupted by glitches and emergencies. You lose your luggage, you slip, or catch a bug, and need medical treatment, these not only disrupt your itinerary, but can cost you a lot of money. Travel insurance is made to address the situations like that and risks involved in travel, it provides coverage from the moment you leave, to the moment you return to your home. It feels safe while you are having fun away from your home once you're travel is insured.

What's For My Dinner?

Chicken in Garlic Spaghetti with Pesto.
I copied the recipe on this from the 20 minutes cook book that mom gave to me. What I love about this food is the pesto that makes the chicken taste so good. To prepare the chicken is so simple, just marinate it with salt, pepper and garlic before to fry. On the other hand, bring the pasta noodles to boil until it soft. And then, prepare the garlic into chop, mix it with the olive oil in the frying pan until its brown. When its done, mix together the garlic with oil to the pasta. For the pesto, I bought it in the supermarket for readymade, although I can make it on my own but it takes a lot of time to prepare.

4th of July

It rains yesterday as what I always expected in every 4th of July here in South Florida. That is why hubby and I didn't have plan to go out. Instead, I burrowed the whole day on my bed while watching baseball game. Which frustrates me because the Yankees was lose. I can't take it! So after the game is over, I catalog my husbands comics collection and then I went out for a while to shop food. Later on the evening I walked my dog outside and watch the fireworks of my neighbors. Its pretty cool!

San Francisco, California

Part of my itinerary for  West Coast trip is to visit San Francisco, CA as a side trip for a day before my friend L and I going to Hanford, CA to attend our friend's wedding.  We plan to drive from LA to San Francisco for more than 3 hours, but none of us brave the road, plus, the price of the gasoline is ridiculously high. Whereas, commuting by plane is only cost us $56 each. Flying over an hour. It so quick, hassle free!

San Francisco is very inviting, the city is so gorgeous and the weather is delicious. I loved it! Our friend's fetch us at the airport, from there we drive around downtown to have a breakfast before our sightseeing around the area. After that, we head straight to the famous Golden Gate. It is fantastic. For lunch our friend took us to their favorite Chinese restaurant.

We burn our time left at the Pier before we catch the bus to take us in the train station for Hanford. Even though we had a short trip in San Francisco, but that is so special to me. I will definitely be back there.
