Cooking 101: Fettucine with Shrimp and Basil Cream


  • 1 package of Fettucine pasta noodles, uncooked
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 gloves garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 1 pound shrimp, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
Cook Fettucine according to package directions, drain. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, melt butter
over medium heat. Add garlic and saute until lightly browned. Add shrimp cooking 4 minutes or
until shrimp is pink. Stir in basil, salt, pepper, and cream. Let simmer 5 minutes. Pour sauce over pasta and serve immediately.
