Guilty Pleasures: Tropical Paradise Ice Cream

This is another reason why I need to see my dentist or my physical doctor perhaps? lol I craved sugary food lately. I can't resist that's why I'm guilty. :)

POS Essentials: Barcode Scanners

I have a terrible experienced at the Oriental store in the past days which I thought was funny. It has been my frequent stop over for a grocery whenever I need some Asian food since it is just located in the neighborhood. It runs by the Chinese people of course. And the cashier in the cash register is now familiar of me. Whenever I registered my items for some quirky reason their barcode scanners and computer always doesn't work fine. The cashier always apologizing me for the inconvenient it caused because he needs to reboot the computer once again. I have to wait fifteen more minutes after the computer back to its normal mode. I noticed their computer systems are too way left behind from what we have now. Imagine, their computer program is still Windows 98, more than a decade ago!! haha. No wonder why their system is sooooo slow - like an old fart.  lol I bet the next time I will go there it'll be the same old story. Sigh.

Just A Quick Post

How is your Monday going so far? I hope you are all inspired, and happy. Please don't forget to smile!

Today my inspiration is happy. He is inspired by me and I was inspired by him.  HAPPY. :0

I'm listening the Big Hits of the 90's music in Yahoo Music right now while I am going to cook Hawaiian pizza for lunch.

What a bliss!

Hand-Me-Down Clothes: Micro Dress

Today I'm wearing a micro green dress which I scored from the thrifty store a couple of months ago. There are many things that I LOVE about this dress. One, I LOVE how it fits me. Two, I LOVE the color. Three, I LOVE the 100% cotton material. Four, I LOVE the chic designs. Fifth, I LOVE the price of it.

Would you believe I got this for just $5? The recessionista in me! hee hee.

I got a few thrifted clothes, and one of them is an Oscar Dela Renta's vintage top-- a long sleeves, color purple and in silk material. It's beautiful. Very classic. So ODR's design. Now I have to find a formal occasion for me to wear it.  You know I'm not a social climber. So, there is no way I can wear it anytime soon. Maybe one day if someone would invites me for their wedding. lol

For the meantime I'll have to enjoy wearing this micro green dress more often times now. That is how its  so comfortable on me.

Because i Heart You...

Tomorrow was the date when The Husband's mother was about to pop out the baby from her belly while listening Bob Dylan's song in a snowy day.  Because of that I am going to celebrate the day my husband was born. I can't wait!

Let's Get Physical For Joint Pain Relief

When I don't do exercise regularly my body gets tired so easily, and feel pains of my back and joints. I also thought these are the signs of aging. Well, as what people say our body deteriorates because of age that's why eating healthy and have regular exercise helps to keep our body strong. It makes sense. It has been a month now since I go back of my Wii fitness exercises everyday. I keep my track at least an hour a day. I felt really good like I had before. I promised myself to continue doing this as much as I could. Exercising is also a great way for joint pain relief and back body pain relief anyway so why not keep doing it. Also taking joint supplements is another way to relief the pain. Combining the two at the same time are I believed essentials.

We Are The World

Last night I watched 2012 movie. It was disturbing and it scared me to death. I couldn't imagine our planet has to be ended that way, but, it is possible. We never know. With so many natural catastrophes happened in our world we really never can't tell.

25 years ago Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie wrote We Are The World song for charity single recorded by the surpergroup USA to help Africa (you know what happened to Africa?).

After 25 years, to date, the famous We Are The World song was remaked by todays famous USA singer artists to help Haiti (you know what happened to Haiti?).

i Like... Tote Bags

There is no doubt for my love of tote bags. It's getting deeper whenever I sees them. How wouldn't I? Just to look at these bags makes my jaw-dropped. Please pinch me! lol

The Essence Of Valentines

is Because The Husband loves me he bought me a chocolate that I love.  He knows exactly what I like. What could have been better than that? Actually, I didn't expect for anything from him this Valentines because of the recessions. ha! Kidding. There were no signs that he gets me something hidden until he went out yesterday morning which was odd (he never go out on Sunday except we go to moms place together). For me, that was a hint. Sure enough he went back home with a big smile on his face and surprised me this box of chocolate. Ahh.. sweet eh! I was touched.

The Husband and I went to moms house to celebrate Valentines together with grandma. I cooked food for us to feast. Mom gave me stuff toy and a box of chocolate. Indeed, I'm a happy camper! I might needed a diet supplements to burn out the fats I am getting from the chocolate. heehee! I know how much they love me.

Cooking 101: Hawaiian Pizza

Though.. not all of my ingredients are made from scratch that's why this is an easy recipe to cook in just 15 minutes from Food Network magazine.

I have cooked different kind of vegan pizzas for The Husband this time for the first time I made pizza for myself. Although I did not make the dough for the crust but I'm still proud of making this just for trying. Of course I love the fact that I cooked it well, and ate even more. Okay, without any further ado, here's how I cooked it.

Note 1: I don't have time to make a dough. I bought Organic California Style Pizza Wheat Bread  (about 15-inch round) in Tunnies instead.

On the crust add:

1. 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Spread it equally.
2. 1/2 cup tomato sauce use anything you want (mine, i used Ragu). Spread it equally.
3. 8 slices of pancetta- a dry cured bacon Italian style (instead of pepperoni).
4. 1/2 cup of diced pineapple
5. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
6. bake until golden.

I enjoyed eating this pizza so much. I had this a quarter slice every dinner in four days since I watch the calories I take. This is good to have in the house once in a while I'm sure you gonna love it as much as I do.

Note 2:  If you have time, here's how to make a pizza dough.

Whisk 3 3/4 cups flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt. Make a well and add 1 1/3 cups warm water, 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 packet yeast. When foamy, mix in 3 tablespoons olive oil; knead until smooth, 5 minutes. Bursh with olive oil, cover in a bowl and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour 30 minutes. Divide into two 1-pound balls. Use 1 pound per recipe.

Car Washed

Today at the gasoline station place after I pumped some gas I decided to wash my car using their automatic car wash, when I got my receipt I directly drove my car at the car wash center.

Take note..high note: It was my first time to do it on my own. I cringed. Yay!

So First, I was reading the instructions at the wall, and there were no indications telling about ringing the car wash code on the machine. So I go ahead and enter my car inside the cube. I've waited for the green lights after 3minutes nothing happens- it was like my car and the car wash tools just staring to each other waiting what to do. Ha! So then, I pull back out my car good thing there is no other car behind me waiting for their turn. lol

Here is the coin machine waiting for me. I should have enter the carwash code here first...hell know! It's my first time. Haha

Again, I enter my car in here waiting for the green lights.

rinsing one more time

drying, finally..

Revisit Orlando Florida, Soon?

The last time I went in orlando Florida was last year's Philippine Festival. It's a fiscal celebration among the Filipinos around the state, and it is also open for everybody to come and join of the said festival. It was my first attendance and I have to admit it was eventful and lots of food and delicacies from the Philippines. I had a good time eating my favorite pinoy food.

I don't know if my friends are having plans to attend this year I hope they will so I can ride with them. This should not be missed. It's a fun.

The Beach: Outer Banks of North Carolina

Growing up on the tropical island in the Philippines where surrounded by the beautiful water  of Pacific Ocean is something that I always treasure and  be thankful of.  In there, I learned how to appreciate the  natural beauty of natures, understand  living in a simple way of life. We have plenty of beautiful/posh beaches there, and I remember playing with the sand, picking up some sea shells, and swimming in the sea water with my cousins and friends all the time when I was a kid. What a bliss!  These are the reason why  I wanna go back in the tropics.

This photo is taken at the posh island in the Phils where the husband and I visited during our last vacation there.
My life has changed but my love for the beach never stops until now. I guess destiny brought me into that. Moving here in America  is beyond my imagination  much more to live here in Florida where surrounded by the sea water. I'd been  into many places here where the beach were from south to north though there are still more places that I have not yet visited to explore but as for the meantime, I would like to try to go and see the Outer Banks in North Carolina for a change. I learn there are more Outer Banks vacation rentals near at the beach front there at a very affordable price. This is something that I have to think for consideration. I shall see.

Personalized Invitation Cards

I used to make scrapbooks, scrap-photos and cards. I have in fact a couple of creation of it  and now just realize that I have gazillions of it while I was browsing my old photos in my e-files. Geezz.. its been a century since the last time I made the baby shower invitations for my sister and the baby that she then bearing is now almost 4 years old, meaning I haven't been doing this scrap-booking for a longest time now. What a shame. What I've been doing lately anyway? Ahh... almost forgotten. Time change and that's the fact! LOL Since then (four years ago) there were many new things came out from the wood-work to explore the Internet such as youtube, friendster, myspace, blogging, facebook, twitter and many others, of course my work took so much of my time too. These are the reasons why. Haha. I know I should have continue doing this. It's a fun hubby.

This is my first creation for my niece and nephews as for them to keep. They loved this.

This is where I made for my little nephew Julian when he was a baby year old. Such a cutie!

Yesterday at The Farmers Market

Market is also a place that I'd love to go frequently. There are so much to see and to get, honestly, I am still foreign of some vegetables here in America. And I like to learn on how to cook from it. It something that is so me- i love to do "something new". I found there the Arugula, Kale or mustard green and some unique spiciest from there I was acquainted with it. The best thing I like farmer's market is the value price of their goods. It is so cheap compare at the regular produce stores. It would save me more pennies if you know what I mean.

Ferrari Tools Online

A friend of mine, a single woman, loves to find a man who's driving an expensive car (such as Ferrari) for him to roam her around. She fantasize sitting right next from the driver's seat in it. Amazing. Until now, she haven't found a man of her dreams. I wish her luck. Seriously.

Anyway, speaking of Ferrari this car is really cool though it's expensive but if you are in dire to own one then go for it. Don't also worry  in case your having trouble with it because Ferrari parts  are not hard to find in just one click away you can order any tools you need for your car. You read it right, in the "online store" at ricambiamerica dot com.

The Worst Dress at The Grammy Awards 2010

What are they really thinking? They think they are cool unfortunately they look so unflattering, no appeal or disability appeal whatsoever. LOL In fairness their each songs rock! Lady Gaga made me gaga of her Poca Face, Britney made my body moves 1.2.3 while Kesha made my head Tik Tok! You see? i love their songs. Its just that I don't comprehend their fashion styles. Unbelievable.

3-D Tributes for Michael Jackson at the 2010 Grammy Awards

The best thing about last night's Grammy Awards was the performances of Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, and Smokey Robinson for their special 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson. They sang the "Earth Song" which was originally composed by MJ. We know that he really cares of animals and nature that's why he got inspired to write this song, one of my MJ's favorite songs.
