Recipe here. I really didn't follow the recipe at all. All I'm after is the sauce, to make marsala sauce. I like my chicken the way I cook. I seasoned it with salt, pepper and paprika. Coated in Italian bread crumbs instead of using plain flour. Then fry. For the sauce of course I follow the recipe. The taste quite interesting... ahh, the Marsala wine's so strong flavor. It is good I like it.

Korean shows are surely hits in the Philippines for such a long time now. We love Meteor Garden. It was a massive hit! Not only that but among other Korean shows as well. Asian loves romantic stories- that is a statement. Hehehehe. So anyway, I completely not attached to it anymore when I moved here in the USA. But my love affair of Korean shows came back previously - thanks to my ever cool husband! He found out this movie The Good The Bad The Weird for us to watch. At first I said to him that is not the original. I saw the famous classic Hollywood movie of Clint Eastwood, The Good The Bad and The Ugly how come the Korean made a copy of it! Yeah.. this is only a parody, hello!! He said. So then we watch.
The verdict? It was funny. So much action. Great cinematography. Great story line. Good movie, and most of all they are Great Actors. Jung Woo-Sung has such a cutie. I like how he fires the gun. Such a cowboy! Clint Eastwood would appreciate that. Lee Byung-Hun is so handsome and a very good actor. No wonder why he's a super star in Asia. I like Rain but I like Lee Byung-Hun more..
This movie can compete in the global market. A la Hollywood. Very awesome.
Today I read an interesting article on one of my-daily-read sites 'Lonely Planet' about Before it's too late: The Worlds Most Endangered Sights - that includes Banaue Rice Terraces, Philippines and The Everglades National Parks, Florida. The two are among the other greatest natural and cultural history sights such as Abu Mena, Egypt, Medieval monuments, Kosovo, Tombs of Buganda Kings, Kasubi, Uganda, etc. are great places to travel and see before it's too late or become ruins. Full story here.
Oddly may it seems but I haven't been to and see The Banaue Rice Terraces in Luzon while I live most of my life in the Philippines. It's a shame I know.... but really I dreamt about to go there someday. This is one of wonders of the world and it always amaze me how the ancient Filipinos made this rice terraces by hand.
Same thing with Everglades National Parks in Florida, USA - I have not been into glades park since I moved here 5 years ago. It's a shame, I know... I know... but why is that the locals do not like to travel much locally? There are so many beautiful sites in our local land but we always go further outside to travel. I have to take this chance now. Certainly.

Somebody gifted me a silver coin back when I was High School it looks like a challenge coin but not actually sure what was its all about. He gave it to me cause he thought I would like it. I don't know why he thought of me such thing hence I no a coin collector- whatsoever. :) I kept it but didn't appreciate it. Maybe I never liked it. I left it along with all my stuff collections when I move here in the USA five years ago. I totally forget about it until my younger sister reminded me of them lately since she's cleaning our room, decluttering some unused old stuff. I told her she can keep whatever she likes including the coin. Haven't receive her reply yet. She might hold on it, I figure.

When it comes to food Chinese cuisine never left behind and they are highly popular everywhere ( I mean in other parts of the world). I like Cantonese but I always ended up choosing to eat Siomai, and I love to eat it more with fried rice. SO yum!

MIL and grandma can vouch how good this food is
talking about biases here. Hehehe Trust me you would like this recipe and is really simple to make too. All you need: chinese eggplants (2 huge pieces are enough for two person), cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette and ground black pepper.
To prepare: Grill the chinese eggplants ( I use the conventional oven since I don't have grilling machine. I preheated the oven to 425 degrees ) for about 20minutes or until it soft and tender. Don't forget to turn it over. If you see the eggplants get wriggled then that is cook already. Peel the skin and cut the heads of it then throw them away. :) Put the eggplant meat in a plate then smash it by using a fork. Set aside. Slice the cherry tomatoes. Mix it on the smashed eggplants, and drizzle a bit of ground pepper. Add the vinaigrette generously on the mix eggplants and cherry tomatoes. That's all!

My Lola (means grandmother in Filipino) is the one who taught me on how to take care my skin. She is my idol when it comes to maintaining cleanliness and personal hygiene. Makeup is not her favorite thing what she loves are skin care products. She applies baby oil for her skin after shower every single day, washes her hair every other day and use fresh natural coconut oil for hair conditioning. She is loyal of using body bar soap, use fresh papaya leaf as a scrub, she uses cologne, and loose powder for her face. She regularly have mani/pedi, nail color polish only her feet. She never ever gets tired doing that all until she got sick badly. Lola had barely wrinkles at age 85. In fact her daughters (including my mother gets jealous of her skin) Hehehe. They call her the goddess of vain even though she is low maintenance. It would be nice if I have a picture of her attached unfortunately my old photo albums swiped out in my hard drive by the viruses. *Sigh*
I try to emulate her like that in a way of maintaining personal hygiene by using natural skin care products, and believes of wearing bare skin than wearing too much makeup. I believe simplicity is beautiful. Natural is chic. I love makeup don't get me wrong I can't live without a moisturizer, eye brow pencil, blush -on, and mascara but I spend more money on skin care products than makeups.
Talking about skin care products I completely in love with this Body Scrub- smells SO good and sweet that I can almost eat it. The Shea oil and Sugar are perfectly blends together that will give my skin glow.
Photo of me taken yesterday. I am about to leave for work. One thing I like my job is that I doesn't require to wear makeup (you know, I don't deal customers) but as I said earlier I can't leave the house without slapping a moisturizer on my face, wearing a mascara and eye brow makeup. That said, I'm still allowing my skin glow not shine. :)

Aside of vegetable salad, bruschetta is one of those easy and fastest recipe to cook. My favorite. In just a few minutes I'll have an instant lunch or dinner. Very easy. I can use whatever leftover bread I have whether it's English sour dough muffins, baguette, or Italian bread which really doesn't matter. You see, I sometimes don't follow the rules. Because I don't wanna waste our bread (as long as it is still good to eat) I use it for bruschetta. Like the other day I have so many leftover of Italian multi grain seed bread- I gave some of them to the ducks in our neighborhood for them to eat and some I made the bruschettas for dinner.
This is what I got- save money, save time, plus I had a wonderful meal. Great, eh! :)

Well, my roommates and I, who all happen to be single, are spending 4th of July together. We're planning on renting the Bridgette Jones movies, picking up some cheap strawberry champagne and we're going to make some homemade candy to go along with it.
Well, I took it upon myself to look up recipes for that and have been researching recipes for them with our http://www.get.wildblue.com/. I knew that we definitely would want some chocolate truffles and maybe some candy bark.
I'm going to make all of the 4th of July decorations on Sunday night so that we can all get home from work and start the fun! But I think that the hardest thing about doing that will be to make sure that we all won't eat the candy right after I make it. I know that it will be tough for me, so I'm just going to make a ton of the candy.

Alot of people like to collect stuff- there are some really addictive collectors of stamps, buy morgan dollar coins, stuff like sports-figure cards, shoes, bags, and other collectible items. There is nothing wrong with that unless they become extremely hoarders. Which is no good. Back when I was young I collect stationary, love the hello kitty and sanrio ones. I did used some of them to write my friends and classmates a letter. It was become my obsession. I stop collecting it until I finished college when I got a job my interest change. So that was it. The reason why I talk about this (collection) now because grandma wants to buy us a set of chinaware as a gift for our wedding anniversary on October. She loves it. In fact, she has quite a few collection of it. But I honestly don't like to collect or have it. If these are the chinaware she'll be getting for me maybe I'll change my mind. Hehe

I wanna watch this documentary with my husband (I hope) cause this is something I can relate to. When my husband asked me why women loves shoes, I stutter. I just can't find a good reason. I said, it makes me happy. Then again, is not what it's all about. There is something in the shoes that I couldn't expound just a word.

Only if I have a gazillion of money (not!) or can afford (should I say) to go and stay in a luxury resort for a mental getaway- I would prefer to go to one of Amanresorts called Amanpulo in the Philippines. Please don't get me wrong, I don't have a mental illness. Hehehe I say mental getaway is because I wanna allow myself to let go in an exotic getaway. You know we're so busy trying to respond to other people's needs, busy for work, busy for our business, busy, busy, busy! Or if the world is driving us crazy we simply need some "me" time. That's why we need ourselves permission to take a mental break. If you think a mental break can only happen if you go to an exotic getaway, well, it is not. We can have a mini-break by go for a shopping, cooking, playing, swimming, go for a zumba dancing fitness, yoga, watch movies, and many others. I does that. But who really doesn't wanna go in an exotic place. Stay in an island for days. My husband and I did that three years ago in the Philippines. We stayed in an exclusive villa in Pearl Farm beach resort. The only music we had were the birds noises and the sounds of the ocean waves. Very relaxing. It was beautiful. Now I'm daydreaming (only) to go to Amanpulo. You see, this is what the summer made me think of. Island.

My husband used to love a big Russet potato baked and topped with sour cream (oops... He says, he still loves it though hehe) but not until recently after I found and bring some home of beautiful tricolor baby potatoes from the market. They're yellow, red, and plum these combination are tastes great in your mouth. Like to roast them with extra virgin olive oil, italian herbs, paprika, salt and pepper. I swear my husband wants me to cook it more often. :)

I love to add a bit color of my plate that's why I like it.

My friend is recently bought a house, it is tremendous! I think she need to fills it with lots of home accessories unless, if she wants just to have a minimal looks of her current home. She invited us (the husband and I) for her housewarming party this coming weekend. Now I am looking for gifts. It's not always easy to find good gift for a new homeowner. I don't know if I go with the standard pots or with this casserole dish?
Does this frame I think is cool really go with their style?
I honestly still don't know what to get for her housewarming party. Good thing is I have plenty of time to think about it. :)

One thing I can't do without when cooking is Extra Virgin Olive Oil- its the ultimate kitchen staples of mine. Its not just sounds classy but it really is healthy and flavorful. In fact, there are numerous Olive Oil benefits, according to experts. Countries like Greece, Italy and Spain are the top producer of olive oil in the world so that's where the olive oil made from I have. I also look for a good packaging that I can display as a decorative the emptied bottles after.
Not only I buy olive oil for cooking but also a hand soap made of olive oil. I also actually have olive oil for hair. Yeah I hoard it. Kinda weird like that. Hehehe

I baked a cake for the first time, and I felt good! Hehehe I love pastries or anything sweets because of that I finally took the guts to try baking. It wasn't that bad as I thought would be. In fact, I had fun! This French Apple Cake is very easy to make and taste so good. I know the photos doesn't do the justice but I personally like it. OK, I will let David Lebovitz and his fans convince you that this cake is worth it by reading his recipe here. Hehehe enjoy!

There are plenty of loan lenders nowadays trying to help us to solve our financial problems. In order also for us to get something we want to have or something we need, it is important to speak with one. And if you can't think of any good source for extra money or if you in need of cash urgently, you should check out Checkcity.com. Many people are now using the Checkcity site to get cash fast- like payday loan. They offer payday loans, the easiest way to bridge your cash needs between paydays. It is very easy to apply from them, and in many cases they don't ask for you to fax any documents. There is no need for a credit check, either. They also have flexible payment options to fit your budget, and good services that get you the money you need right away. Once they approved your payday loan, they will electronically deposit the money you loan directly into your bank account. You can apply online or visit a Check City location near you. Either way, the process only takes a few minutes.

My sister (who lives in Alberta) haven't get a chance to see the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge in Canada on Canada Day cause the couples are celebrating it in Ottawa. Instead, she's watching them on local TV.
