Spring Roll Kitchen in Edmonton

When I was in Edmonton my sister and the rest for her family brought  me here (SpringRoll Kitchen) for dinner. Yay, she knows what I like! I know I've been eating a lot of Vietnamese food lately here in Florida but I won't mind at all having it in the other country again. After all Canada's restaurants are most likely what we have in the USA.  Below is me taken a souvenir photo outside of the restaurant.

The interior design at Spring Roll is kinda modern not like a typical Vietnam.

The food prices are not that bad.

They served us a hot green tee which I really need at that time cause my throat was itchy. I caught the cold and sore throat so bad.

That said, I ordered their special soup (pho). As usual it taste good since I got a sore throat I didn't finish this soup.

My niece ordered this. She said it taste good.

My nephew had this beef steak. It taste great.

The Snow is Falling Down

To see a snow falling and to experience play with it was my childhood dream. Never that I would thought that that dream will come true. I went to visit my sister and her family a couple of weeks ago for the first time in Alberta, Canada to spend time with them and to finally experience the real winter season. Because in Florida our winter is not white. Mostly people I know say we're lucky to live in a place (Florida) that has a beautiful weather all through the year. Yeah, agree. But, still am longing to experience a snow. During my stays over there in Edmonton (the capital city of Alberta) the snow didn't fall, until just a couple of hours left before my flight back to Florida. The snow is falling so  beautiful. It made my whole vacation complete.  

From my room where I laid on a bed I went straight outside of the complex along with my sister and nephew the moment a snow is started to falling on the ground.

I was having fun playing of it. Jumping up-and-down like a kid. It was lovely experienced. Snow is beautiful indeed!!

Spotted Vic Sotto Poster in Canada

My niece, nephew and I laughed when we saw this poster of Vic Sotto on the wall inside the train in Edmonton. What the heck is his photo doing here?? We all said. That shows how big Vic Sotto in the Philippines, and how so many Filipinos are now here in Canada. True, that many Filipinos working abroad just to help financially their family back home by sending their hard earn money through western union or to other banking services. Canada is definitely one of the home of many Filipinos abroad.

Just to share. I watched this video on Youtube and I was like admire by Angelina's talents, job, as a whole person actually. Everybody made a mistake and not perfect but her to acknowledge it, then moved forward, and did something right that is something admirable. I'm just saying... :)

Scattergories: The Game Board We Play

Sunday is usually a family day for us. The day where husband and I visit his mother and grandma to their home have lunch, chat (most of the time), watch baseball, and play game boards such as scrabbles, pictionary and scattergories. We play against each other or we team-up. Lately we hook of scattergories- its a fast-paced word game, it helps me learn new words, and it test my memory, most of all it is FUN!

Christmas Gifts

December is officially here, how time goes by so quickly! I wonder where did it go? All I know is I am thankful for my life that God gave me everyday, and for this life long journey. I feel blessed I made this far, long way to go.. :)

So anyways, my MIL, grandma, and I are all set for our Christmas exchanging gifts. My husband is still ordering his gifts for everybody. My little family here does this every Christmas in my home. Obviously I'll be hosting the party. Our exchange gift is definitely for FUN as we don't requires a specific gift amount. Every gifts we bought are special something we need or resembles on each of us. No special demands. Its all fairly thoughts. Surprises. And that is fun. Can't wait!! :)
