Guitar Strings: To Coat or Not to Coat?

Did you know that there is a huge debate among musicians about if using coated guitar strings is good or not? Coated strings are said to offer a smoother play. DR Strings are made in the USA and have been popular since the late 1980s. Of course, the humidity depends on how long your strings will last anyway (bedsides use). Ultimately, guitarists must do what feels right for themselves and what sounds best to their ears. It is important not to get superstitious about using or not using coated strings. Longevity is the most important factor when it comes to rating strings. You don't want the sound to be dead.
