Jasper, Alberta: Maligne Canyon

Maligne Canyon is one of the most spectacular gorges in the Canadian Rockies, sheer limestone walls plunge to depths of over 50 meters (165 ft.) I have had the blessing of  exploring Jasper National Park with my family in fall, and Maligne Canyon is our first sights to see. This is an easy hike for all ages levels. Th hike trails are well maintained with a safety fence running along much of it. The scenery is priceless. There are 6 bridges you can cross in total, but we only hiked from 1 to 2 because my mother can not walk that far any longer. We had to stopped and rest while enjoying the beautiful scenery before we headed back to our hotel.

Travel Period: September-October 2013
